Encounters with Canada is an opportunity for high school students, ages 14-17, to travel to Ottawa for one week. They get to see many of the highlights of Canada's capital: the parliament, senate, and national museums. In addition, the weeks are thematic and students get to interact with specialists in a particular field and participate in experiences related to that field. Some themes include Sports & Fitness, Arts & Culture, Science & Ecology, Media & Communications, First Responders, Canada Remembers and many more.

The cost includes flights, hotel, food, and events (unless it is an unscheduled activity). It's excellent value for the price paid. Visit the Encounters with Canada website: https://www.ewc-rdc.ca/pub/en.
