If you've been wondering when the road work on Noel will be finished, you're not alone. Fortunately, we received a letter from the Town of Comox giving us an update. Brace yourselves though because it's not great news, unfortunately. In fact, their new construction completion deadline is now tentatively set for November 22, 2019.

Keep your chin up, folks. We're in it for the long haul and though the end appears to be in sight, it still is a ways off.

Read below for the full letter.

Town of Comox Noel Avenue improvement project (Pritchard Road to Torrence road)-Project Schedule Update

Dear Resident:

This provides residents with a construction schedule update with respect to the above-noted project.

Construction is progressing well and the project completion schedule delay is primarily due to the challenges associated with the Brooklyn Creek crossing and the addition of potable water infrastructure replacement to the project scoper. To this end, project completion is now tentatively scheduled for November 22, 2019.

Local residents will continue to experience moderate delays and single alternating vehicle traffic from Pritchard Road to Nimpkish Place from Monday to Friday (and possibly some Saturdays) between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm through the completion of the project.

The Town of Comox, McElhanney Ltd. and Edgett Excavating regret any inconvenience caused by the extended construction schedule and thank residents for their continued cooperation.

Should you have any questions regarding this project completion schedule, please do not hesitate to contact me at 250-338-5495.
